What We Believe
Our business philosophy has always been to provide meaningful, personalized counseling for our clients, before and after as well as during each transaction. Real estate dealings should be pleasurable not stressful; and we draw on both our professional expertise and personal experiences to help us relate to and guide each client, whether a first time buyer, seasoned seller or investor, or just someone with a real estate question. We take pride in the referrals we receive and the past clients who have become close friends.
Our History
Native New Englanders, we lived on Cape Cod for 17 years, raising our 4 children in a wonderful rural atmosphere. There Andy developed an independent real estate appraisal business and later bought a small local brokerage in our village. Sandra helped with the office administration but also devoted her time to her first love: children. In addition to raising our own, she ran a day care center and later worked with severely handicapped children in a local school system.
In 1992, with 2 children on their own and the other 2 growing up quickly, we decided it was time for a change and came out here to the San Diego area which Andy had fallen in love with during his Navy training. While it was hard to uproot ourselves from friends and family, we have enjoyed both the weather and the lifestyle it allows. More importantly, it gave us personal insight into the challenges of relocation.
After a few years as an appraiser with Bank of America, Andy returned to real estate brokerage as a Sales Manager, while redeveloping his personal business. Sandra continued her work with severely handicapped children. Recently, Andy resigned his management position to concentrate full-time on serving our growing list of clients.
Our two oldest boys are both in the public service sector out here, one in firefighting and the other in law enforcement; our daughter, after graduating from UCSB, is a successful businesswoman in Santa Barbara; and our youngest, with a BA from Sonoma State, is now testing the business world. All four appear to have adopted California as their permanent home also.
